Roots

"Roots"
Spraypaint, acrylic, ink and charcoal on canvas. 152x102cm. SOLD (private collection in Guanajuato, Mexico)

Available as print only by request.

A little story about this painting: I finish this artwork at the same time that the events of Ayotzinapa in Mexico escalated, so I couldn't stop the painting to lead the meaning itself. (If you want to know about it please watch this video that explains it all:https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=477441155730730&set=vb.407570359384477&type=2&theater ). At this time I came across a really powerful quote online related to this event: "They tried to buried us, they didn't know we were seeds". I believe the people of Mexico will be the only ones to freedom themselves from corruption, not any political party. I feel very proud of where I come from and I feel hopeful for our future. People is waking up and the world is looking at us today.#PaintingForAyotzinapa #PintandoPorAyotzinapa #Ayotzinapa #43x43 #Yamecanse#Mexico #somostodosayotzinapa #guerrero #renunciaepn
